Bearfoot Farm CSA are new programs designed to give our community the opportunity to get their produce, eggs, and more directly from the farm. Our produce and eggs are all raised using clean and healthy organic methods with a focus on environmental sustainability.
CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture," which is a system where consumers pay a fee upfront to a local farm in exchange for a regular share of the farm's harvest throughout the growing season sharing the risks and benefits of food production with the farmers; this allows people to access fresh, locally grown produce while directly supporting their community farms. Members have a direct relationship with the farmers who grow their food, often learning about their farming practices and getting updates on the harvest. CSA members typically receive a weekly or bi-weekly box of fresh produce that varies depending on what's in season. If there is a poor harvest due to weather conditions, members may receive smaller boxes, reflecting the shared risk with the farmer. CSAs provide a stable income source for farmers by securing a market for their produce in advance.

When you sign up for our CSA produce program you will receive weekly boxes of produce, and sometimes other things produced by us on our farm. The season begins with your first payment of $150.00 due by March 31, 2025. This will get you weekly boxes (contents will depend on what’s in season/available that week) through July 31, 2025. If you wish, you can continue with a second payment of $150.00 which will be due by July 31, 2025 and you will continue with weekly boxes up until October 31, 2025. There may be a winter season but we will see how things go.
When you sign up we will set up a database for you that we can customize to your preferences. Don’t like summer squash? Maybe swap for acorn squash, or more tomatoes…up to you. Tell us what your favorites are, tell us what your dislikes are, and we can customize your box for you. Once you’ve joined you can come by the farm every Sunday afternoon to pick up your box.
Our CSA egg program works in a similar way. We will have the standard farm fresh chicken eggs but will also be offering duck and quail eggs from time to time. A small fee of $60 on or before March 31, 2025 will get you a dozen a week until July 3, 2025 as available. If you wish you can continue With a second payment of $60. Due on July 31, 2025.
Delivery can be arranged for a small fee as well if you’re in our area.
